LOUISVILLE MEGA CAVERN
It doesn’t look like much from the outside–or the inside for that matter–but, we had an absolute blast in Louisville’s Mega Cavern.
This is not for the faint of heart; but, if you are up for some adventure, this is right up your alley.
Plan to get dirty and wear your comfy clothes.

THE FALLS OF THE OHIO STATE PARK
It did not cost us anything to visit this park. There was a sketchy “pay here” box for parking. So, bring some cash to stick in an envelope when you park.
There is a visitors center with a gift shop and public restrooms, but we didn’t spend any time inside.
We, actually, didn’t stay here for long. We spent about 30-45 minutes climbing down the rocks to water level and then back up.
We visited in July and the water was too high to get down and really explore the fossil beds; however, it is a beautiful place for photos, times of reflection, picnics, and such–and, younger kids would really love climbing over the rocks.
Honestly, this would be an absolutely stunning area for professional family photos. The landscape is stunning. Granted, we went when the water was high, but it is probably much the same even when the water is low.
You can visit the parks direct website at: THE FALLS OF THE OHIO STATE PARK
