I attended college when I was 27, after having four of my sons.

It took me seven years to graduate; and, while in school, I had my fifth son. I delivered him during finals week of my junior year!

In fact, my children would say that I am addicted. My stepdaughter brought me my first chai, on a freezing morning of watching the kids play soccer back in 2001 or 2002, and I have been addicted ever since!

I studied interior design and photography in college

I have had a photography studio for over ten years and have done freelance interior design on the side.
My passions have shifted to traveling and blogging, now, though.

I was in a physically abusive marriage.

Not exactly fun, but...I survived some wild things during that 14 year marriage. While some events were downright horrifying, I am amazed and proud of the person that I have become as a result.

I have always had very long, straight hair.

When I have decided to cut my hair, I have always gone SUPER short.
But, I always regretted it and went right back to straight hair down to my waist.
